Deb's Corner

Where’s Deb This Week?

I have the opportunity to represent the media (bloggers, twitterers and newspapers like this one) at a conference in Chicago this week. They will be talking about social media use inside your company.

The conference will present an overview of how some companies are using the new tools to communicate, share knowledge, build relationships and collaborate more powerfully. But it's a brave new social media world behind the firewalls.

This is the conference to learn which of the new tools make the most sense for your organization and low-risk ways to introduce them. They include employee morale in a down economy, engaging diverse and far-flung employees across generations, how to blend old and new communication channels, leveraging front-line supervisors, and much more. There will be "economy-driven" topics, but also plenty of sessions that will give you the edge on what's next, and what you need to be doing this year to deliver more value and ROI from your social media - internal communications efforts.

Watch this corner and the website for updates from the conference—and how it will help our local businesses!

Has your company sent you to a conference? We’d like to share your stories here! Why not give Deb a call at 458-1114
