Iowa State Representative Linda Upmeyer and State Senator Merlin Bartz will be in Franklin County this Thursday for a tour of businesses and to meet with constituents.
The purpose of the tour is to familiarize the legislators with projects that have benefited from state support and to highlight the importance of incentives to attract investment and jobs.
The legislators will also gather input from constituents at two receptions scheduled during the day. The tour will begin with a public reception at 8:30 at Sukup Manufacturing in Sheffield then continue with stops in Hampton and Bradford and end with another public reception at 3:00pm at the Latimer Golf Course.
